AIS – Live tracking

Our boat is also equipped with an AIS (Automatic Identification System) that allows you to track us in real-time using the map below.

– But wait, your position hasn’t changed for quite some time. Are you stuck or what’s going on?

The location that is displayed on the map is from when AIS receivers on land pick up when our AIS transmit our position to ships around us. If there are no receivers close by then the map will show our last position instead.

We’ve noticed that the tracking service sometimes doesn’t filter out our boat so if you get a ton of dots on the map feel free to search for the boat named “Freya”, make sure that is say (SE) behind the name to track us. You can also track our VHF ID by searching for MMSI 265022990 using your own favourite tracker for example Vesselfinder.
